Hi there,

I need some help folks. I want to get a plec other than just a comon one, but i dont have a big budget.
Can anyone recomend a nice looking plec that isnt too expensive ?

Please dont hesitate to post any ideas or pictures as i do not know much about plecs.

Thanks for your time

how much you looking at spending this will help us decide what plec you can have and also what size tank do you have

Up to £20 i suppose can i get anything nice for that price

I don't know any aquarium centres in Luton, but the best Pleco I got for twenty quid was a Snowball Pleco. However, it was listed as a Snowflake.

well i can offer two firsthand examples

1) ancistrus or BN, very active always out and about and not destructive in anyway max out at about 7 inches

my big male BN
2) clown pleco not so active but a lovely looking fish munches through wood so a good supply is needed as my pair have shown now on thier third piece, max out at around 4 inches

Luton aye.... about 20-30 mins from me...

how about a male Starlight Bristlenose... about 2.5" at the moment and in need of a new home (and it'd be less than £20 too)

Dane might even vouch for them (as he brought some juveniles and a breeding pair from me ;))

How much do you want for it ?
And could you post a picture of your one if possible as i am interested
Also is that the L183 ?

I have a small L200 you can have at that price if you want...

Some good places to go near where you are, are Maidenhead Aquatics nr St.Albans (A414) or Wildwoods in Crewes Hill, Enfield. Both have a very good selection of plecs.
