They are a Plec that prefers a more vegetable based diet. I feed mine on Algae Wafers and Bloodworm mainly with some cucumber. Mine reached 10" in 4 months.
i was talking about plecos the other day and someone DID say mine was too small- looks JUST like mine.....but mine has been around for 5 years and is at the most, 5 inches. is this bad?
My sailfin pleco has been relatively slow growing but all my plecos adore meaty food. At lights out they are waiting for a bit of cockle, prawn, and mussel. They all also love `Sera catfish chips` but are not overly keen on normal algae wafers.
Try your plecos on meaty food, i know everyone says they won`t like it but mine really love it and apparently it is good for them too.

I have 2 of these guys. 1 of them is 3" and I have had him for 8 months, the other one hasn't grown much at all.
Mine are called hide and seek as that is what i used to have to play to find them both when the lights were on, this is no longer the case.
I think squishy is a good name for a pleco though.
Thanks Sir Minion! Mine also love whitebait. We had 2 plecos which were growing too big so we seperated them. The one which we moved went into a tank where they were fed meaty foods and she has doubled in size in 2 months. She takes whitebait and picks them up, takes them to here hiding cave and eats them there!!
Sir Minion, how is your chaca now? I saw a post by Lady Minion asking advice and we now have a tire track eel with a growth on his tail. It`s bright red and looks like a large ulcer but is large. Have treat him with Paragon but doesn`t seem to of helped. Had to move him before we could treat him because he was in with an elephant nose.
