Are they compatible? I think Corys are so cute and would love to have one. I'm going to put my pleco(sailfin) in the bigger tank that I will be buying in a few weeks. I wasn't sure if I should try and find another pleco for my 15 gallon, but one that will stay small or if I should just stick with a couple corys for the 15 gallon. I don't really have an algea problem in either of the tanks that are running right now, so I was thinking of getting a couple corys to take care of any food waste in my 15g. Any suggestions? Also, I would like a couple corys for the tank I will be buying in a few weeks as well, as long as they are compatible. Thanks

I have corys in all 3 of my tanks. They are very busy cleaning all the time. They seem to get along with everything. I feed my shrimp pellets to be sure they get enough. My fish don't let many flakes get to the bottom. I have 2 in each of my 10 gallon tanks, and 6 in my 55. I also have a pleco in my 55. Doesn't bother any of my fish. Prefers to be left alone.

Sailfin plecs get pretty big and he will soon outgrow your 15g tank. He needs a really big tank to keep him happy otherwise you might be best to exchange him for something smaller, a bristlenose (they get to be 4-5") for example. Cories get on with nearly everything and IMO are a vital addition to any community tank. They are happiest when kept in a group of at least 3-4 of their own kind and do a great clean up job.

I am planning on getting a larger tank, just not sure what size yet. My hubby(who has no idea at all about the whole fish thing) got the pleco. He was pretty excited when he heard that the pleco will get much bigger, and it gives me an excuse to get a large tank ;) Plus I'm not to sure if my lfs will exchange fish. Thanks for the info!
