Thanks, Alex :)

I hate seeing HUGE plecs sold - Dobbies up here always have a tank FULL of babies which will grow to 19 inches.... who is buying them and where are they putting them?!

Anyway, i am going to be buying a snowball plec - lovely, grows to a max size of 6 inches and is fine in a plated aquarium (what i have). They are not £6 like many others you see in LFS, i'm going to be £25 for my one - but it will look stunning! Can't wait!

BTW, there are two plecs called snowballs, one grows to 6 inch, the other is much larger....cant remember the L numbers of each just now, but if you do some looking online you'll work it out :)

thanks that was a HUGE help!! and i know, i feel for the massive plecs also.

thanks again :D :D

clown plecs don;t get too big
neither do zebra plecs!! but they cost a bit :good:

I have a clown plec. Hardly ever see the guy, but I dont mind that.

14 OMG i didn't know they could get that old! Once again, thanks for all of your posts!! :)

i love my Bulldog, get little pleco she is always out and about at the front of the tank, keeps it clear from algae but they prefer a slightly cooler temp than others

There is a pinned thread at the top of this Forum titled "30 Plecs Under 8 Inches". Sorry, don't know how to post the link.

It also depends on how much you want to spend. Some can be expensive.

They only grow to 10cm, and do a good job of eating algae, i never have to clean the glass.

They are lovely

I don't think they were that expensive either..
