i was wondering if anyone had a pic of a true verified Hypostomus plecostomus? and if i would be allowed to use it on a fish wiki site i help with? (link in sig) full credit given of course.

i'm going by planet catfish for a true ID (their pics are all copyrighted of course and i don't do stealing!), according to them, i hope you agree, the true Hypostomus plecostomus has a reticulated pattern with smaller spots on the head, no wiggly spot or striped markings.

does anyone have one? and not one that's just a "common pleco" because there's at least 3 species of plec that could be id'd as that and i'm fussy! i've tried the creative commons pics on flickr but can't quite id the plecs in those pictures, and some are definately not the one i'm looking for.

anyone willing to help?

You could always trying joining PC and pm'ing Shane (its his pictures on the sp. page), i think if you ask he should let you use the photos, especially as its for a reference site
