Pleco Or Brislenose

I have just put in a pond out the back that get's a lot of sun - well nearly the whole day and I was wondering how I would go if I put in either a brislenose or a plec to eat the algae

How do they go in cold water - at the moment the tamp is between 20-40 deg c outside

In the pond there is about 14fish and 1 turtle, soon to be two

Will either/both survive in cold water
