Pleco Mom And Dad?

Hey guys! I have been thinking about this for a while so I was wondering, how could I tell the gender of my 2 plecos, and how could I get them to spawn? I've always wanted my fish to breed so I thought this would be a great idea, and some of my friends have been asking if I could get a breeding pair and give a few babies to them. Please help!

There are a couple small ones that I've seen available there. Clown and rubber lips, although maybe some other ones were available where you went. Got any pictures?

They could always be babies of some large species

We really need to ID them before we can advise you on how to breed them, if it's even possible; there are a lot of 'plecs' that can't be breed in captivity.

Yeah. Havog a positive ID really helps. If you are refering to the common plec. You need to wait a few years to identify their gender

Hopefully they're a couple of bushynose plecos! Easy to identify!

Pretty much everyone already said it, species is key... But if the name at the pet store said just plain old pleco... Chances are it is a common.
