my friend just gave me this little guy and he didnt know what it was..i wanna give this guy a proper home but 1st i need to know what it is ..any idea?

it looks exactly like mine, iv been calling it a common pleco but im still uncertain

Agreed. We call ours a common too.

He's now about 10" and still mottled spotty colour.

Dont actually think it is a common but dont know what it is.

He resembles one of my pl*cs just a bit. Mine is L205. He could very well be a common though, since that's the popular opinion. Here's a photo of Peckoltia Sp L205.
