Pleco Help?

Hey everyone,
I have a common question, I am not quite sure what kind of pleco my boyfriend just recently bought is. I am sorry for the lack of pictures, his internet is out at the moment so he can't send me the pictures. When he gets it back running I will be sure to post the pictures. Anyways, he is about 3 inches or so already and he is a very dark grey color almost black and he has light grey almost white spots all over him. My boyfriend said he has spikes too, I didn't notice them but he said it looks like he has spikes on his fins and such. Do you have any idea of what kind he is or pictures of plecos that look like this and I can see if he looks like any of them. Any help would be great! Thanks so much.

Thanks for the help, I don't think he looks like any of them though. I am quite sure he isn't a common pleco though, I have one and he looks nothing like him. He is almost black with little greyish white spots on him. Thanks for helping though. I will look back at your pictures after I get a picture of him and try to compare.
