Do you think it's a bit odd to see a clown pleco eating blood worms? Just wondering considering i had been associating them with mostly algae all this time.

Not odd no, Pleco are opportunistic scavengers at the end of the day.

Protein intake for Panaque (which your clown is) should be kept to a minimum.

Offer wood (essential) and fresh veg (Courgette, squash, potato were popular with mine).

when you say wood how would that be done? would i use driftwood, or a piece of lumber?

Not lumber, driftwood that can bought in LFS, aka bogwood etc
