Bought 3 new giant danios two days ago, one of them died yesterday.
now there are 2 both around 3-4cm. My dad said he has seen them chasing other fish, but same can be said about the serpaes (10 of them)
I believed at first that the opaline may have been the cause of his death due to he chases the dwarf gourami often as well as other fish.
But there has been no problem with the pleco in her 3 month stay in my tank, she was a bristlenose that was in my 23 gallon juwel tank.
my fish list at the moment; i have two lists; one is which i believe may be the cause and the other that i believe aren't the suspects

suspects; (due to i have caught them chasing and fin nipping fish)
opaline Gourami
Serpaes
danios (dad spotted)

innocent;
2x yoyo loach
2x glass catfish
4x neons
1x corydora
4x guppies

Though my dad believes that the danios are the cause, he is saying now as i'm typing that they are nipping other fish.
What would you believe are the cause?

yes giant danios are very aggressive if not kept in groups of 5 or more
the solution is add more giant or remove them

My giant Danio is so mean. He actually killed other fish in my tank so now he's all alone in my 10 gallon. I'm waiting to get another tank so I can buy 6 to have in there as a group. I heard they're nicer when schooling.

Good luck!

yes as with all danios they need to be in groups to keep their aggression down
please check out my website for info on many danio species.

i wouldnt have thought they would kill ur plec..

what are ur water parims like???

bristlenose plecs are sensitive to water conditions... not v hardy imo... i lost my first two :-(
