I have had 2 high fin catfish for over a week and we just don't see them. They spend all day hiding in my plants and we sometimes catch a brief glimpse when the lights are off, but even then it is only for a couple of seconds. I actually thought they might have popped it we hadn't seen them for so long! LOL!
Since we have got our plec, Louie, every time he comes out (and he's been quite active this evening) both of the catfish seem to come out. As soon as Louie goes back into hiding, so do the catfish. The catfish have hid so much since we got them we haven't been able to name the little guys! It's like having invisible fish.
Interestingly, neither the catfish or Louie are interested in the coconut cave. They have all investigated but prefer the other side of the tank. It's not a small cave - it's half a coconut!
The catfish stay quite close to Louie. Anyone know why? Perhaps they just like the big guy and feel safer when he's around?
