Just noticed my plec as a large whitish patch on its back,could it be fungus?

Thought they were hard backed

Could he have done it on a rock .

(just noticed I'm calling it he,all my fish get called he)

Could be just natural coloration. I've seen it on some of my plecs sometimes.

Does it look anything like this?

Ya know I noticed a white patch of my plecos stomache about a month ago and I panicked. But it's slowly fading and I believe it might be a common discoloration in plecos.

Should have waited for your replys ,I treated it with fungus stuff


Can plecs get fungus though ?

Yep, any fish can get a fungal infection.
