I won this from the kids Malawi tank as it was getting got at!

Any idea's to its name/number?

Good to spot that but he lost most of it in the Malawi tank. It has just started to repair now so not sure what it is ment to look like.

i dont advise mixing anythig but commons that are over 30 cm with cichlids lol but your little guy i have no clue
trying to picture him with a full dorsal fin lol it looks to fat to be a bn
it might be a hybrid of some sort

It's a golden nugget, i think.

My lfs sells them for £28.

no its not a gold nugget, they have black and have large round yellow dots. not a pitbull/ruberlip/bulldog plec, your talking nonsense mate.

can you type ok, or do you have difficulty? (not having a go, its just a question) and whats with all the spaces between you lines. if you write in a fluent (sp?) paragraph then people find it much easier to understand.

its not one of the very commonly sold plecs in LFS's such as the GN, BN etc.

Well I am going with Parotocinclus haroldoi. (thanks to xingumike) The shape is spot on and in some photo's the markings are too.

Oh, and thanks for the 'heads up' matchstickman47 but that is why I rescued him from the kids Malawi tank because he was unsuitable (kids being 30 and living away)

*EDIT* I have a Red Violet Cochliodon(L137) in my Tanganyikan set up and to be honest it's the only plec I would use in a Cichlid tank. He has batted off any interference ever since being tiny to his present size of 60mm
