Hi,
I recently rescued two plecs from awful conditions where they were left in an abandoned house with no food and one inch of water for at least 2 months. Needless to say they are now healthy and happy fish with very nice personalities but I unfortunately can't keep both as my tank isn't big enough. They are at least 13cm each and beautiful fish (not sure if they are common plec). We are interested in finding them a good home as we truly hate having to rehome them again.

Stunning Pleco =)

I live only down the road from Wolverhampton, but I think my 12 gallon tank will be far too small once they reach their full size (60cm from what I've read).

My tank has only live plants at the moment.

Thanks,

Tom

you need a 5ft-6ft tank to house one of these until adulthood

i used to have one i loved it but just didnt have a big enough tank
Tom499 some corys would proberly work

I have been looking for a few bronze corys, But I need to keep about 6 for them to be happiest, which would mean quite a bit of feeding and a fair bio-load on the tank.

What I'd like is a loner, or a pair of something simple and easy going, which I fear for such a small tank could be difficult.

Live plants and Ramhorn snails.

The bogwood was put in abit early, so its got some tannic acid colouring despite some water changes, looks kind of natural though.

Thanks again pippoodle, a quick google shows some nice looking fish which look like they do what I want.

I will look out for some.
