I dont mean this to be nasty or offend

But im shocked how many poeple buy fish/plecs then asks the questions after, looking at your profile assuming its up to date, you have a 30 & 60L tank, how are you going to house a 18 inch fish.

I always research care, needs, diet before even thinking about adding anything to my tanks.

i usually do my research but at the time i got him i was needing a small plec to clean smaller stuff in my tank. you're right, i should have paid more attention to what kind he was. i have a friend with a 135 gal he will go in when he gets a little bigger and i will do my research when i replace him.

At least you got somewhere to house him when he does become a monster.

If you want something small how about some pygmy cories, only get to about 1.5cm ( Im also looking for a small algea eater at the min and these where pointed out to me)

Sorry to have a moan yesterday just really bugs me when people get things when they no nothing about them then wonder why they out grow the tank, kill something or die.

Gourgous plec tho!!!

Kinda funny to see this lol...

Pigmy cories in no way take care of algea lol...

If you're looking for a small algea eater - try the bulldog pleco ;) or some ottos, but they need very good water quality.

How much algea a fish eats depends on every individual fish, in the end plecos are fun and entertaining, but an algea scraper is usually a much effective option ;).
