Plec Suggestions Please . . .

Hi All
 
I'm looking for a plec that will quite happily live with my Fire Eel. The fire eel is only very small at the moment (around 3.5" - 4.0") and I'm looking for a plec that I can add to it's tank now and which will grow pretty much alongside the fire eel. My 'ideal' would be a plec that maxes out to around 12". I want the fire eel to remain the focus fish so I don't want a 24" monster plec, but I don't want one that will be insignificant or even viewed as fire eel dinner!
 
Any suggestions as to what one to seek out?

My personal favorite plec is a clown but they max out at 4-5 inches. I believe bristlenoses max out around 8 so that's closer in your range. Hopefully someone else answers who is more experienced.

Hi and thanks. The Clown plec is a nice looking fish but too small for what I want (as you imply). I've been offered a Rusty plec of about 5 inches which (according to the info I've read) will make 9"-10". It's a nice looking fish but I'm not 100% sold on it.

And then I've seen the Royal Plec - very nice!

You could research a rubber lip pleco. I'm not good with the L numbers. I myself want one!
