Plec Id (picture Included)

Hey all =)
About 3 weeks ago I bought 2 plecs that were down under the name of Ancistrus dolichopterus. However, when I got home I realised that out of the around 20 plecs they had in the tank (alright size tank, small plecs ... no worry) they'd managed to catch me a plec that looked completely different. Now, I'm just not having any luck IDing it. So any help would be appreciated.

At the moment he's around 2 till 3 inches in length. The closest I can get is probably the bulldog plec, 'cept that this one has definate lines rather than dots.

far as I'm aware rubbernose plec and bulldog plec are the same fish (Chaetostoma milesi), and while he does look it it's the lines rather than dots that just throw me off completely.

i just had a quick look on google and your fish looks the same just a little different in colour, i would say it was a rubber nose

definatly one of the Chaetostoma family. not sure which one though.

That's definately a rubberlip/rubbernose/bulldog chaetestoma sp.

There are at least 58 species of rubberlip/rubbernose/bulldog chaetestoma sp. plecos and some have spots, some have stripes and some have both or neither, so exact identification is often very difficult.

Thank you all ... I've figured it out
When googleing for Rubbernose plec like Guppy_man said I came across Chaetostoma cf. thomsoni AKA Striped Bulldog Pleco or Striped Rubbernose Pleco. Definatly the fish I've got =)

You may have got a real deal there as the Striped versions are at least twice as expensive round where I live compared to the normal version!! Well done and great fish by the wya. My 3 y/o daughter has her heart set on one for the new Rio 180 I am getting this week.

Think she will get her wish to be honest!
