Plec Fins

What does it mean when the larger plecs (Common, Rusty, Etc) Are of the bottom of the tank with their dorsal fine on show... My Rusty only does it on the rare sight. But my common in the tank downstairs always has it up ?

What does it mean ?

im not sure mine do it alot especially the commons its prob a terratorial thing make themselves look bigger than what they are to fend off other fishor something.
