Some of my plec eggs have started to hatch and 1 has ventured into the tank only to get pecked at by the endlers should i remove all the fish now until the young have absorbed their yoke they are only 5 days old

Managed to get a snap of the wrigglers stuck to the cave wall, thats some size yoke sack they have

Hi,

they stand a better chance in a species only tank but i can't see endlers being much of a problem if they are the biggest fish in there.

Emma :)

Yeah these are a couple that have escaped his care they are only a couple that has slipped his net but im worried more might

Another problem i have is the corys in with them aswell i was going to get rid of the corys but they spawned yesterday so want to keeps them if you know what i mean not sure what i can as im now seriously over stocking my 30 litre tank kinda stuck with the fry tank and the big tank has little guys pop out all over the place argh! not sure what to do

wish some of mine would breed, im trying and not getting to far yet so you must be doing something right :)

Ok it seems i should be ok dad is rounding up the early learners and the corys are not interested in eating them one just swam over one and didnt even attempt to take a bite so im happy with that

How long does it take them to absorb their yoke? thanks.

ok - I'm going to be a little harsh here....

Its his first spawn - he will get the hang of it after a few goes - but in the mean time its a learning curve that will have some casualties.
Once he has the hang of it - If he kicks out a fry its normally for a reason. the same applies to the spawns themselves.

I wouldn't worry about them to be fair - once BN's are breeding - they will do so every 4-6 weeks... you'll be over run before you know it :)

Sounds good but its not his first spawn its myn but that guy in their is pretty exeperienced from all accounts lol, these 3 bristles were dane261 i purchased them from him i beleive he had many a spawn from them.

He seemed to right himself though and got them back into the cave now hes running a tight ship and has not let another get out.

Thanks for the help smith oh and he loves the cave i may treat the females to one each in the next few weeks

that trio is what produced in line with the albino pair over a 1000, lets hope the L134's and other plecs i have follow on

Cheers Dane
