Fish Crazy
My tank is currently holding:
1 x twig catfish
1 x royal plec
3 x ablino BN's
2 x green strain bn's
2 x normally bn's
several cory's (wiez, aldofi and panda)
1 x vampire plec
The largest of the lot being the twig and vampire
The problem i'm having is they were driven to me from a distance so were (i'm assuming) quite stressed from the travel.
I aclimatized them, popped them in and other than 2 of the smallest dying within 24 hours (from the travel i'm guessing) i've had no problems for about a week now.
Today i went into my fish room to check on all the tanks and notice a very pale, very still BN's. The rest run off and hide when i go near the tank. The i noticed no eye's ect (i won't go into details as it's not a nice sight) i scopped him out checked my water para's and now can't find a problem, so let's but it down to the weather, he was a little guy and maybe just not able to handle the dip in temp or was just bullied by something.
I've since moved my vampire and 2 larger albino's so there's nothing too big in the tank to upset anything, but my vampire and 1 of the green strain has large splits down there tails, now i don't know any of the fish i have/had in the tank to be nasty and other than too pieces of bog wood and two stones for hiding which aren't sharp, i can't see how this could happen.
If someone can help so i can change what ever it is i'm doing wrong that would be great i'm ordering another 22 BN's next week and really don't want to risk having a simalar problem in my other tanks.
