please ID my plec

Hi, I just got him today and he is so cute. I got him from someone who has had him a while and he hasn't grown anymore. He is about 4 ins and has lots of fine spiney things over him. Sorry its not a very good pic, but hopefully someone can tell me what he is.

Looks like a Common to me but it is hard to make out more details on him to be certain.

Hi, he's definately not a common.
Digital- no he isn't like yours, he has stripes a bit like a tiger across his body and spots on his tail.
I have looked on pcatfish and think he could be an L271 or an LDA68. He looks more like the 271 but the 68 describes the teeth like spikes on half the body, gave me a shock!

Looks like a species of peckoltia to me, like a candystripe, emporer or tiger.

Hi, yes he does seem to have the shape of a peckoltia. There are so many about!

I've seen commons sport similar colors and patterns but like I said, the detail is hard to make out for certain, at least to me.

Interesting one, looks kind of like a Tiger plec or peckoltia however his pattern is slightly more abstract.

Hi, I will try and get a better pic later if I can. He is definately not a common. He has spots on his tail not stripes and has more stripes/lines patterning across his head than yours Ben (sorry to hear he died )
Also meant to mention, he has a small mouth.
