Yetserday I decided to get one of my Betta's (Max) a tank mates for his 5G tank. I floated 4 Cory Panda's for 2 hours in his tank, than released them net in hand to coral the Betta of necessary. All seemed well and it looked like my Betta like his tank mates hanging around them but not flaring anymore or anything.

But after about an hour, my Betta took a nip at one of my Cory's in his barbles (brables still there but there was a decent size red line). He than went to where the other Cory's were but I got him with the net.

Anyway, the Betta has now been evicted permanetly from the tank (well, I am probably going to upsize the Cory tank and than he might get his home back)....

Anyway this was yesterday. The Cory bitten was inacttive yesterday, but today he is looking pale/grey especially compared to his mates. Been looking for information on Cory medication but cant seem to find it.

Is there anything I can do... these Betta's and Cory's are my first pets. Don't want to loose any of them :-(

I can isolate him with an air stone in a separate tank. I have Meth Blue and Sera Baktupor Direct. I have salt too, but I think I wont try that.

Physical damage, I would say isolation, though isolating the betta is good enough.

If you are going to treat the corydora, then isolate it before medicating. Just keep up tank conditions and it should be ok.

to tell u the truth i doubt it will recover. Cories are so delicate and can be killed by mostly anything. I think just letting it stay ther and putting an airstone in would be good.

His barbles seem intact, but he just lies there rarely moving.

Isolation should do the trick. Don't put salt in the tank because cories don't fair well with it, plus pandas are so delicate, it might die.

Was only its barble bitten? If so, it should be ok. Barbles repair themselves, and the loss of one will not kill a fish. Just make sure not to place the betta with the cories again and I think everything will be ok.

Also, don't worry if he doesn't move a lot. Cories aren't the most active of fish, and often sit there and do nothing for long periods of time.

Never again. I really hope he makes it.

He is chomping down brine shrimp right now with his mates. I think he is going to make it.
