well a little over a month ago i got this guy together with an Axelrodi Rainbow from a small LFS. it was sold to me as a killifish (forgot the specific name they gave me) but i spotted it inside the mixed rainbow tank and it was schooling with them.
once i get home I put him into Fish Diary (my upcoming fish-keeping software) and while looking him up, he sure looked like a Killifish but somenow not exactly like any of the ones I found online. at that point, LiveAquaria didnt have him or anything like him listed.
today as I was going through the rainbow list collecting information, I noticed a new addition:
Madagascan Rainbow (Bedotia gaeyi)

that would explain why he was so friendly with my axelrodi and was always schooling with him and my other two rainbows...after a bad bout of disease in my tank (i believe brought on by his buddy the axelrodi) he is the only rainbow? left in the tank...and if you guys can verify he is indeed a rainbow and not a killiefish i'll be looking to bring back another 2 rainbows to school with him...
