They are sold in the hobby as Trumpet nose knife fish, scientific name is Rhamphichthys rostratus. They are large growing (to a meter (3'3") in the wild and difficult to keep in captivity with most only lasting a few months at most. They feed on small invertabrates in the mud such as shrimp and insect larvae so their diet should be made up of small frozen and live foods.
