I hope I won't get too many hate PM's....but.....*cringes*

I got another fish...I honestly had no intention of doing so, but it was a rescue more than anything. It's another platy, but she's the size on my dwarf puffer She was in with all he's, and doesn't look real good. She missing parts of her fins, and I'm pretty sure she's pregnant (this from a person who thought their male platy was pregnant :*) )

She's just so tiny....and looks so pregnant. :( She has gravid spots, and her belly is big and white. I know I've read on here about small mothers not usually making it... :-( So I'll be doing partial water changes atleast once a day...probably twice. And hope she makes it until I can get a 20 gallon in a few days.

:D I applaude you and your efforts to help a little mom. Maybe you'll be a grandmother sooner than you thought? :hyper: :D :D

Hey don't feel bad, I am a sucker for injured fish too, exspecially if they are carring offspring. I have probably bought around 30 - 40 $ worth of fish like that. I wish you the best of luck. But with the my experience I found that injured mothers like that tend to die during or after birth, but on the other hand I have one that was injured and she is one of my oldest fish now, so it is hard to tell how the tides will turn.

Peace,
DPS

I was considering getting some anti-biotic...I thought it might prevent any fin rot. The other platy that had it, her tail has cleared up on it's own and is starting to grow back....but I thought I should probably just have some on hand anyway. Could anyone suggest some good wide-range anti-biotic? (you'll probably have to give me a couple of suggestions since the stores around here have little in the way of selection  )
