I just had to remove my Vittata form my semi cycled 5 gal because he was near the surface. I thought I could get away with very often water changes of about 50% but this hasn't worked so I immediatley decided to place him in my well established 10 gal. Well while removing him he went rigid in the net and wasn't breathing, I swear he was dead but as soon as he touched the water in the 10 gal he shot off behind the bogwood and hid, How strange. Will the quick transition between water qualities kill him??? Or will he be ok? water temps were matched and so was the hardness. I'm trying desperatley to get a 50 uk gal to relieve the poor 10 gal but I'm skint :( Thanks for looking

Well He's having a great time in that tank now, he's spinning about eating all the algae and re arranging the Java moss, the tetras are all giving him funny looks though ;)

Very good :)
All of my fish had no problem switching from the 35G to the 75G. When I moved my 13 inch pleco, he was a doll. He stayed still in the net and didn't spaz when I placed him in the new water.
Glad to hear your vittata is pleased :)
