I have recently started up a new tank. I have put in six platys, one mickey mouse, one red wag,one blue coral, one sunset, one tuxedo and a spotted one. my red wag seems kinda bloated though i am scared that it may be pregnant. I read on a website that when fish go around prodding each others genitals that means they are breeding.My mickey mouse platy did that to it the other day. I don't know their sexes, i am worried please help.
Hi Bosco! Yes if you have a mix of males and females, you will inevitably end up with pregnant fish. Even if you bought just females, most of them come already impregnated!
