I have three platys that share a new tank wih four rather feisty zebra danios. One platy is very active, but for the last two hours, the other two seem to be hovering in opposite corners of the tank, doing little if next to nothing, except hover

My water thermostat is set to just below 26 degrees, all other water parameters are fine, zero nitrate, nitrite or ammonia and pH at 7.2, (possibly slightly high). Couldover feeding cause or could it be something else

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey
The fish is probably pregnant or giving birth, plus you might be feeding them too much. I only feed my fish a small amount, somedays some of the slower fish miss out on food, that way they look for food in the tank and dont just sit there, bit like humans.

Cool, thanks. I asked someone at my local pet store after I read this and they agreed, I thinjk that they are male as they have two (i think) dorsal fins, instead of one, so it is probably just overfeeding

Ta very much
