My platy was really big one day and when I came home from school she was skinny. I thought that she ws pregnant, but I wasn't sure. If she was pregnant is it possible that they babies got eaten? Just in case that is what happened, should I move her to the 1-gallon and see if I find fry?? I really want baby platys!

when i first stared with livebearing fish i had a problem getting babies when my fish would have them. then i put in a floating plant (hornwort, however there are others) and i started to get alot ob fry, because the would hide in it and the other fish couldnt get to them to eat. i wouldnt recomended moving her to another tank because it stresses out the female. one other thing would be to check the gravel in the tank, the fry will sometimes hide in it. hope this helps :)

well sometimes fish can get bloted, so they get large and small large and small. but if she is definately check the plant if you find any move them before they get killed or stuck in the gravel. ohh i put my platy in a seperate tank to deliver and she did fine but not a 1 gal. tank to small. at least 3 gal or over so she has room to move so shes not stressed. oh if didnt work out this try again good luck if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.

I had some plants at the top but all the fish that tried to go to them would get chased away by my betta. I had to take it out before fins were getting torn over it. I'll check the gravel and stuff in case
