Platy With White Area On Head And Now Loss Of Balance

I noticed this afternoon that my female platy has a white area on her head. She was swimming around fine and ate fine too later on, but I've just had a look at her and she was sitting at the bottom of the tank and when she did finally move she sort of got carried away by the air flow of the filter.

She was (until this afternoon) the only female platy in with the male platy but I added a Mickey Mouse Platy to address the ratio.

Would some Anti-Parsite/Fungal treatment help me out here? Or some Aquarium Salt?

I lost a female guppy last week, who was experiencing extreme loss of balance over the course of three days. Could this be related?

Water readings seem normal according to the API tester kit.

Could you post a picture?

Is the area also fuzzy? Fungus is one possibility. Another possibility is columnaris. Treatments are very different for both so you'd need to be able to narrow it down to which it is.
