Fish Fanatic
Hi all,
I have a sunset platy that has developed a cyst on its underside. Looks like a small silver ball. Although it is the size of a Pinhead it looks fairly big on such a small fish. He's very active though and still eating quite healthy. But I am just worried about him infecting the other fish(I read somewhere that if the cyst pops it can be toxic).
So I have moved him into a separate bowl because I am not sure what to do? Will it affect the other fish (I have just put in another 2 cories to accompany my existing one) and I wouldn't want them to be affected by it.
Any suggestions on how to handle this? Is it safe for him to return to my main tank with all his mates?
I also read somewhere that the only option is to euthanise it since the cyst cannot be removed. but I just can't bring myself to do that![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
