Over the past week or so I have noticed that one of my male platies sinks to the substrate and spends a lot of time in one position. He does come up to feed but seams to need to put in a lot of fun action to achieve any height, as soon as he stops fin, he slowly sinks to bottom

3 weeks ago I moved all my fish into this new (much bigger) tank.

Levels : amonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 20, pH 7.4
Contents : 8 platies (2 male 6 female), 10 platy fry (various ages; aged 2-4 months old) 5 Cory pandas, 4 zebra danios, 3 penguin Tetra, 5 amino shrimp, 1 assassin snail, 1 rabbit snail.

Size 210 ltr, sand substrate, planted at back with 2 ornaments and a gathering of stones creating caves, air brick, decent filter/pump.

Any suggestions/help.

Euthanise it.

If fish sink when they stop swimming, they have a swim bladder problem and there is no cure. Get rid of him and don't replace him. The remaining male can service the females.
