Just a general question; on average, how long do sunset wag platies live? Thanks

That depends on how well you care for them. Assuming they are in optimal conditions they can live up to about 4 years on average. Some live longer, others live much shorter lives.
Most don't live past a year due to various reasons including poor water conditions, diseases, and general health complications......
