I have just treated my entire tank for parasites after just getting ich from a new fish we introduced to the tank. It cleared up, but I noticed the main Tetra I was treating wound up dying. He was super skinny and eventually died. Now the same kind of skinny body is happening to this platy! All my other fish are fine! I have 79 degree water with all the parameters where they should be. My water is clean I tested the water multiple times. I’ve had these fish in here for over 6 months now.

The platy is skinny, sort of bent, not eating (spitting out food), barely swimming correctly, staying by itself hidden and staying at the top opening and closing his mouth. I changed the water a few times. I’m just really concerned as to what is happening to him. Please any suggestions.

How many platy do you have in total? I had 2 female and two male and 1 of the females looked like that until I moved her in to a separate tank. It was due to being bullied and harassed.

Isolate your platy on her own and see if she feels better.

Looks like a parasite infection.

Add Metronidazole (7mg/litre Human med) and tablespoon/20litre of rock salt

After adding metronidazole and salt wait 24 hour and do 75% water change then repeat the same process until he gets better.
