Platy Baby Question..

hi, if you remember we had a platybaby, a little while back, he is still in the nursery tank with the others but am wondering when can he be released into the wide world ! he is about Half an inch long.. don't want to do it too early we went to a lot of bother catching the little blighter and don't want to loose him now x
