Hello All,
New here, found this site while doing a search. I have a male platy that is aggressive towards the other male platy in the tank. They were the only survivors of a batch of fish I had bought. They were in a small 10 gal tank. I have bought 2 females recently to take the attention off the male that was getting picked on. It didnt help. I put the aggressive platy in a net breeder for a few days and rearranged the tank as instructed by one store. They are now in a much larger 45 gal tank with with 2 more female platies and other fish. Nothing I do will stop him from picking on the other male platy. No matter what he is always chasing the other male and nipping at him. I have him seperated now in the old 10 gal tank I use to use. I dont want him to keep stressing out the other male. I dont the alpa male attitude he seems to have. Should I get another male platy? Any suggestions? All the other fish get along just great!
