I've notice two(one with vertical stripe on tail and other that has huge horizontal stripe thing) of my three plattys always hang out together and chase each other but when the other smaller one with the vertical stripe get near, the bigger one with the vertical stripe chases it away. Sometimes I'll them all together when they're kind of sleeping on the gravel or whatever it is they do, but that' all. I almost feel bad for the little guy. Are the other two pairing off or is just aggresive playful behavior.

Geez, don't ya just hate it when you see somebody cute and they're already claimed by somebody else with attitude? Seriously what about getting a couple more platies so the little one has more chums? Clearly the bigger vertical stripe one is saying "Mine! All mine!" :flex:

What sexes are they? Are they 2 males and 1 female or 2 females and 1 male? If two of them are males than you should get some more females. Either way, you could always get a few more females to give the little one a chance to have some friends.

I got them at walmart..they didnt really know what they were doing but im pretty sure i ended up with two males and a female..unless theyre gay

Well if you've got room, get a couple more. I know with my swordies when I only had 3, the two neons wouldn't play with the black one. I had to get a couple more black ones and then the black ones all hung out together and ignored the neons. The poor little black one was awfully lonely until I got her some friends. I had the same problem with a marigold wag female (Meri) until I got a marigold wag male. Now they are inseperable. (Well most of the time, he strays occasionally when Spottie throws herself at him. But Meri and Spottie get along ok so I don't think Meri minds all that much).
