Platinum Tetra

I was looking though the fish at my lfs and they had Platinum tetras, they looked quite cool, but looking on the internet i cant find much about them, so does anyone know if they go by another name?

I think the latin name is Hemigrammus vorderwinkleri but not sure.

Also would a small shoal be alright in a 16 gallon(US) tank? or anything else i should be aware of?
