hi, i want to move my platies in with the micro rasboras and endlers. but will my platies eat them? i am fairly sure they wont but obviously i dont want to take the risk as i have £35 of fish in the little tank.

i have four platies, all female.

can anyone help? just need a definitive answer really.

The definitive answer is that if fish can eat it then they probably will.

BUT I have some Pygmy Corys in my tank with Platys, one of which is quite big for a Platy and he hasn't eaten any of them. He did go up to them almost to check if he could but then swam off again. I wouldn't wanna put anything smaller with him though but Pygmys only get to an inch big and I don't think your fish are any smaller are they?

my father in law kept Platies and Endlers (male) together without a problem.

i think, i put one in and watch i guess. micro rasboras are about 1.5cm long.

Yeah I reckon you'd be ok. But then Platys do have different personalities so maybe your experiment idea is a good one.

I'm putting some Green Neons in next week and do quietly have the same concern.

i put once in and he was heading staright for the rasboras, stressing them out causing them to hide. rather than upset the balance i have, i thought its best not to... the are now at MA GUILDFORD, along with my sae's, keyholes and barbs.

is that it now mate? are you fully empty. You wait til you get to Uni, i bet you set up a shrimp tank or some kind of nano.

i have the nano in my lounge at home which the parents will look after.

the 4x2x2 just has the substrate in and about 5 inches of water which is draining out.

i cant set anyting up this year at uni because im in halls and they say no pets at all. and i dont wana get chucked out after paying 3000 for accomodation. (yes thats alot :/ )
