how you tell if plastic will contaminate the water, my gf was out and some some fake grass like stuff for my tank, but its from a garden place i think so i dunno if i should put em in

If all they are is plastic, there should be no problem. I have used plastic plants from many different sources. Good luck.

If it has a strong smell or greasy feel to it, I wouldn't use it.

lol! I've been well known for being weird for so many years now, it has long since ceased to bother me

I do try not to lick plastic stuff actually in the shop, though I have a friend who has been known to while no-one's looking!
