 my firend told me once that i can put bettas in a large plastic contain and they should be alright. While my parnets said that the plastic mihgt affect the betta somehow...

so i've been sticking to glass bowls but i'm seriously tempted to buy another betta...i'm out of glass bowls, but i got a lot of plastic containers lying around, are they safe for bettas?

I use a lot of plastic tanks for bettas. No problems whatsoever. Maybe tell your parents that even some large tanks are plastic, they just give them the fancy title "acrylic"

I can understand your parents concern. It seems as though the plastic would absorb nasties over time, but they don't. :)

haha cool, i feel a lot more assured now :D and yes, plastics to seem like it'll absorb things, or give off things after a certain period of time. But i think if i get the chacne i'll still switch my betta into a big tank and maybe keep a few in bowls if i really wanted to.

somehow i think they'll like a nice tnak more than plastic ontainers lol  thanks a lot :D
