Plants...

Having now figured out how to do a fishless cycle properly, and being told that having plants in will make no difference or even aid this process, I'm planning on adding some plants and larger decorations to my tank today.

Is there anything I should know, or be adding to the water to help them live?

that is such a huge question. Really you need to start off and decide how seriously you want to be about having a planted tank.

If you are serious then you need to start doing some reading. Search on the planted forum and read the pinned topics there.

It really is an open question you've asked there and the answer would be endless....
