How do I determine which section I should put my plant questions in?

But there are two sections that mention plants one just says "plant Chit Chat" the other one says something like "freshwater and planted Nano tanks"

The Nano forum is for very small tanks, both the plant and fish aspects. This section was set up because these tiny tanks are becoming more popular and need some expertise to maintain them properly.
The Plants & Planted Tanks section is for plants in general not just those suitable for tiny tanks. The forum Planted Chit Chat is where to post questions and comments on plants for "normal sized" tanks.
