what do you all think about pond plant in tropical tank set ups yes or no

Depends what species, and what lighting and nutrients they would get in your tank .
Some work well, others not so much.

If your not fond of bugs and such, be sure to clean any you use first.

the most common 'pond plant' people use in thier tanks is elodea densa - pond weed.

well the bugs qould get gobbled up im sure. elodea will be fine but is cheap anyway at about 50p a bunch.
