Hi guys,

A couple months ago, I noticed some of my plants struggling (turning yellow/brown/not growing to well). I ended up pulling them all and replanting last week, as I had planted big bunches too close together in the first place, and thought this may be contributing. The plants are still somewhat yellow/brown in parts. They are planted in a gravel mix, with API root tabs and I dose once a week with API leaf zone. Granted, the tank is a discus tank so kept at 29c.

It’s not alage, I’ve tried to attach some clearer pictures…

I found plants are like fish in that in order to be healthy and thrive, they require their temperature, water parameters, minerals, substrate, and light from what is found in their natural environment. I would examine each species of plant you are growing and see if they are compatible together in your discus tank.
In my discus tanks, I found that the plants native to the environment that the discus come from thrive for me.
