The above pics are of my 55 gallon...until about a year or so ago I had a lot of trouble getting plants to thrive. I, for some reason, do not have that problem now. I credit all who have helped with fertilizer and lighting advice. Thanks! Now, I love the way my 55 gallon looks. But the 75? OMG....

The pics below are of the 75 gallon about 2 weeks ago, and believe it or not, it is worse now. The hornwort is just taking over the tank. Next week I plan to cut it because I can't seem to even be able to find an empty spot to feed the fish.

I just wanted to share these pics, not to show off my tanks, ( although I like to that too. LOL ) But rather to
show the people who have helped me over the last year and half with all my problems...from lighting to black algae...which is now gone...Yay!

Thanks!!!

Oh, dont get me wrong, I love the fact it is all doing so well. But my gosh....my fish might not be able to swim through all that before to long ! LOL

I have the same problem, unless the fish come to the front I would never see them. I don't use fert's and never have I believe with the correct lighting and the fish waist that's enough. O and water changes. I've tried to post a photo of my tank but I keep getting message it's to large.

OMG! haha, it looks like you put a tiny condensed plant in there and when it hit the water it just exploded and is taking up every inch of your tank!
You're going to have to give your fish little hatchets so they can chop their way thru the forrest!!!
This is great! I'm glad you've gotten your issues squared away and thanks for sharing!!

Dave...Until I found the right lights...thanks to people on this forum...and Flourish Comp. root tabs...thanks again to people here...it was either or miss for me with plants. Now they grow like crazy.

Jen... That is exactly what happened!! Tiny little plants or a cutting from a plant, created what you see in both tanks. But the 75 is where the hornwort exploded. I can't get pretty hornwort in my 55. I don't know why, but it catches food and anything else floating and just looks awful. For whatever reason, it looks really good and never catches anything but a snail in the 75. I plan on trimming it later this week when I do a water change. I love that they are thriving, but dang, I want to be able to see the fish too!
