Plants for my Bettas

What would be the best plants for bettas...live ones i meen. About 2 months ago i had a bad experiance with live plants. I bought some with a bactera on them that killed 4 of my bettas. I was wondering if thier was a way to clean them and treat them so they arent killer plants.

Java Ferns! Hardy, super easy to maintain, and look very nice. Plus they like to rest on them.

I just rinse mine off *shrug* I don't know of any other way, but so far so good.
