Plants decaying?

do you know what would make my plants die like this? It only happens with these kinds of leaves

That is the plant switching from emersed growth to submersed growth. They were originally grown above the water and cannot support that type of leaf below the water, so the old leaves die off while the new grow in.

It is best to remove them so the plant does not spend the energy trying to continue growing them.

What are the parameters of your tank, pH etc.

I agree with Circus' post, but here I would also say there is a nutritional issue, as the new leaf growth on the plant on the right is not looking good. The left sword plant looks better, and the new growth emerging from the crown is how the submersed leaves will appear with respect to shape.

Are you providing any nutrients to the swords? These plants are heavy root feeders, and a quality substrate fertilizer tab can result in remarkable growth and vitality.

Lighting (intensity, spectrum, duration) is an important factor but from the photos not the problem here, unless I am mistaken (which does happen), but I think the above issue is the first thing to deal with.
