What fish do you have in your tank?

In my tank i've got 10 cradinal tetras, 10 neon tetras, 1 red tailed black shark, a pair of rainbow gourami (m/f), two catfish(m/f), 5 platys, 5 silver tip tetras and 5 x-ray fish and the odd snail

The RTBS is a possible cause, that and/or the catfish?

You could try putting loads of the plant stem under the gravel and putting small pebbles/stones around the base of each stem/bunch/plant. Once the roots get a really good hold they shouldn't be as easy for the fish to uproot.

you can buy wee clips that go around the plant and then dig into the sand
